HALLOWELL, ME - The Department of Marine Resources has scheduled three public meetings in response to the groundfish restrictions put in place for the 2002-2003 fishing season. The purpose of the meetings is to gather input from the groundfishing community on what would be helpful in supporting and sustaining the industry, the working waterfront, and coastal communities through this difficult time.
The meetings will run from 7 pm - 9 pm at the following locations:
- May 6 - Ellsworth Holiday Inn, Hancock Room, Ellsworth.
- May 9 - Portland City Hall, The State of Maine Room, Portland.
- May 13 - Samoset Resort, Spruce Head Room, Rockport.
